My wife and I had a very friendly welcome to this taverna; we sat down ordered our food, that’s where the friendliness stopped, I tried to converse with the owner/waiter he was not interested in conversation, his attitude was I got you in, you have ordered, now I am on the prowl for more passing custom. Food was Ok. Never went back.

Food was good, staff were rushed seemed understaffed,  very child orientated, Brit kids running around like headless chickens, saying that the restaurant was not responsible for the Mums and Dads that let this happen.  The noise from the British Pub/ Karaoke venue across the road did spoil the traditional feeling of the taverna.

The setting was a bit busy as the taverna is situated on the main roudabout in the town. However the food was very good. Mike the owner was very nice and could not do enough for you. Worth a try.

What can I say about this Taverna. FANTASTIC. We ate here 6 nights out of the ten we stayed in Tingaki. Family run, the two sons don’t stop from morning until the Taverna shuts. They were extremely friendly but not in your face. The food was excellent the atmosphere was very traditional and the setting was great overlooking the west end of Tingaki Beach and the Salt Lake. We had a starter between us every meal and two main courses, wine and beer, the bill was never more that 29 Euros. You did not go away feeling hungry. If I could give a mark higher than ten I would.
