Palace Restaurant - (Restaurants in Kos Town)

I booked this by telephoning the owner from England and asked for a birthday celebration for my husband. Tao was extremely helpful and we had the most fantastic evening. We had complimentary cocktails, flowers, a gift, banners and the Union flag flying and they played happy birthday - the cake had fireworks on top - we had champagne afterwards too and a really fun evening. Apart from the main meal and drinks with it everything else was complimentary. We really loved it and would recommend it to anyone. Food very good and reasonably priced. My children had the prawn cocktail (called shrimp cocktail) which was massive - I tried their special Lamb dish - Go there and be entertained while enjoying good food!

We ate here one evening last week during our stay in Kos Town. The food was varied and good value. The Aussie cheese chips were very nice with barbecue sauce and my son had a rack of ribs (about 10!) which he thoroughly enjoyed.

We ate at the Caravan about twelve times during our two week stay and it was fantastic. Tony is right Hasan and his family are great hosts and they made us feel like family. We can't wait to go back again. Would recommend everything we ate there - Hasan's generosity and kindness is legendary and we spent many a long evening enjoying his (and for some of the time Tony's) company! Definitely try to Bekri Meze a la Tony - if you like something spicy. The Stifado which is a beef stew is also delicious. Hasan rustled some up for us on our first night in Kos (about midnight) and we ate it again on our last night there. Go there and feel really welcome - make an occasion out of eating - looking forward to our next visit very much. Everything was good value and Hasan and his family lovely. Don't miss it....
