Philippos Apartments - (Accommodation in Kardamena)

Craig J

Agree with the majority of other comments regarding these apartments - basic but very nice, cleaned every day and sheets changed a couple of times per week.
Philippos very helpful in all aspects, whether he was changing money at reception, serving food at the pool bar or advising us of places to eat(if he recommends somewhere, expect a free drink!!)
All in all, recommended place to stay when in Kardamena !

Taj Mahal - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

We always like to try an Indian if we can when we're on holiday - Have to say that this is the best Indian we've been to abroad.
You're never going to get as good as at home, but this is as good as it gets.
Not many people seem to know about it, maybe because it's a little off the main drag, but food was excellent and service very friendly.
Maybe a little more expensive than other restaurants in town, but Indians and Chinese tend to be so - don't let that put you off, it's not as bad as the previous posting makes out - give it a try, you'll like it.

Avli - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Agree with most of the comments about this place, very nice setting and food very good.
The only drawback is be prepared for a long wait if the place is busy - and it usually is.
We went on a Thursday night and the place was full - waited forever for food to arrive, in fact a Greek family next to us walked out because they weren't prepared to wait any longer !
There also appears to be too many tables for the size of the place, a few less would make it more special.

If you like greek food, then this place is a must - we went twice during our stay - the owner and his staff are friendly and very helpful.
Try the mixed meze platter for two for starters - fantastic !!

Loustros - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Fancy a romantic dinner overlooking the sea ? Get yourself down to Loustros - food and service excellent. It's maybe a little pricier than some other places, but it's worth it.

Can't comment about the food - agree that the waiters do hassle you when you're passing during the day.
We eventually gave in and went in one night - however we walked out after 10 minutes, when no waiters had come to take our order or even ask if we wanted anything to drink.
