Hi just got back from tingaki and me and boyfriend stayed at fili apartments well i'd say it were ok not the best apartments ive stayed in theres no entertainment of an evening and you dont get any toilet roll no matter how many times you complain all you get told is buy some from the supermarket also some of the evenings we decided to stay and have tea in the apartments but when we told what we would like to eat we got brought out the wrong food, Its abit of walk to the pubs and the clubs about 35 minutes or you can get the bus but they are never on time and the taxis are ok going its just coming back you can never find one!!!

Hello.
Have just arrived back in the UK from Kos.
Myself, my Sister, my Mom and my two nephews stayed at the Fili apartments and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Fili is run by Paul, his wife and his two daughters, the apartments being named after the elder.
Paul made our holiday one to remember, nothing is too much trouble.
Tingaki is a good stroll away but the buses are good and a taxi will only cost 6 euros.
We are already planning to go next year.
Love Greece and love Kos even more.
Cheers Paul, Thank you first ha ha...

Our holiday commenced the first two weeks of Aug 04 Never been any where other than the canaries or baliarics. Our flights courtesy of My Travel were the best id ever experienced. On arrival at the Fili we thought Oh My God. It was 5 in the morning,(it didnt help the fact that our transfer rep was naff). First impression of apartment was again Oh my god, Basic as in very very basic. However this was first impression and was not a problem throughout the hols (after all it was spotless). Everything about the Fili was fab. Beautiful pools-I have never been so relaxed, you could even get a bed at 2pm in the afternoon, there was a large pool with a slide, a small childs pool in the same area and to the side on another level was a deeper pool,it was never overcrowded or noisey and the area was spotless. The food and drink served was excellent and so was the price. There was a barbi one night which was a good laugh but other than that there wasnt entertainment, although paul keeps bar open till last man drops. Paul, his family and staff were the nicest people ever. My teenage daughters had a fantastic time. There were lots of families with grown up children, and many of these return year after year. After spending two weeks there I can see why. It was the most enjoyable holiday I have had in many years, i went back to work refreshed. The apartments were about a 30 min walk to the main shops & bars but a nice evenings walk. We would catch a taxi back for about 6euro. The location for us was great but if you want to be nearer the beach, bars and shops you need to go into the centre of Tingaki. The only downside to the Fili-which was not their fault-was the Aspro rep-absolute rubbish-didnt have a clue. (see my comments under Tour Operators) Fili Aparts definately deserves a visit-I know we will be going back.

Me and my girlfriend visited this September we recieved a warm welcome straight away.Paul and his family were very friendly and always provided a good service.
With two pools, one for the kids and one were you could just relax.
Although it is a fair distance from tingaki centre there is a local bus which is regular and always on time.
The food was excellent(enjoyed the barbecue on tuesday nights but not the greek fella who trys to get you to dance when he doesnt know what he is doing himself)and the beers nice and cold.we both really enjoyed it and we will definetely be going again.

Was there early June. Thought I would wait awhile to post, just to give myself a chance to get over the holiday euphoria! It is a family place and although there is no entertainment laid on for the kids, most of them do not seem to mind. The location is just right not to far out but far enough out to be peaceful. suberb service, food and drink. The cleanest place you will find in Greece. Great pools, even one for those without kids. Even sat around the "family" pool with my young daughter and her many just made friends I could not help but relax, chill and read more paperbacks than I've read in the last two years. Break up the hectic book reading in the sun with a relaxing cool beer and a great simple Greek lunch in the shade and the day is just perfect. Head off into Tingaki for dinner or stay and eat at Fili, either way you will not be disapointed. Go and Enjoy!

What a great week we have just had!! Lovely and clean apartments, great food in the bar, lovely cool beer with a great service from Paul and his family who always thank you first!!! 3 clean swimming pools one a baby pool (which makes great cups of tea!!! for those who have been there in the last week or so). 30 minutes walk from the town Tingaki but very pleasant, will surely go back!!!!

Karen and bruce B

we absolutely loved the gaff. good food, cold beer, nice clean pools, spotless apartment and great service from paul and his family. we are going for the third time on aug. 14. i thank you first.

Steve H

Came back from the Fili Sunday 27/6/04 what a great holiday already booked for next June. Paul and family make you very welcome very clean originally booked into Oddessa but think we got better apartments with Fili.

Paul H

Returned 21 May 2004. Wife, I and 2 friends had a ball. Friendly owners who appreciate the attempt to speak Greek. Located about 25 minute walk from Tingaki, in open country side, with a backdrop of mountains to die for. Two good size pools and one for the kids (and there were plenty). Food excellent in the small taverna set by the pool. Regular bus to Kos Town. Plenty to offer if you look. Would go back but too many children.

Steve P

We have just returned from a week at the fili. I agree with all the previous comments. The apartments are very clean, although take your own towels I dont think they,ve heard of conditioner. It is a good 30 mins walk into tingaki but its a pleasant walk along the beach.

went to kos in oct myself and my fella stayed in the filli apts and our friends could only get into akti dimis, paul and the gang were so great that our mates stayed most nights and days with us.the weather was great we hired cycles to get about, bad bums but great fun.our aprt was excellent very clean and well equiped.the pools were fantastic didnt take the kids but its a place we would definatly look at going back to with them as its child friendly.we all had a great b b q night lots of laughs if your going then ask paul for ouzo power... ouzo and blackcurrant youl love it.

Sue V

What a fab time I had. Just come back and the weather was superb. Paul is a nutter with a catchphrase ' I thank you first' every time you say thank you! We conversed in Welsh and had a great time perfecting his Welsh accent !

He and his family made my husband and I feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We ate there every night because the food was very good by greek standards and by the end of the week had tried almost the whole menu. Just a word of warning DON'T try the local Domestica wine - i'm sure it comes in a magic jug ! I got soooo drunk my face felt numb after the 2nd jug !

I would really recommend these appts, they are clean ( well ours was spotless ), the freshwater swimming pools were clean ( all 3 of them) and the outlook over the hills was great. The mozzies were a bit nasty but if you take the right precautions it is not a problem.

I'd love to go back and hopefully will do

Paul and his family run a lovely complex close to a beach. Food cheap and excellent value for money compared to the restarurants in the resort centre. Paul will keep the bar open as long as you want to drink. Pools are excellent and rooms are clean. Only downside is the location is about 30 mins walk from the main resort centre but a bus service is available.

Karl S

these appartments are family run by paul his wife and his 2 girls joy and filli and not forgetting gran. they are very clean as is the pool and bar areas. tigaki centre is about 2.5 miles away which is a good 40 min walk, hire push bikes its the only way if you want a bit more freedom we had two bikes for 2 weeks which cost 40 euros with child seats. we biked in to kos town and mamarri with ease. the food and company is that good at the filli that you would not have to leave there for 2 weeks
the beach near the filli isnt that great but if you take a right and walk a while it gets better the best bit of beach for me was a left out of filli into tigaki centre and carrl on towards the salt lakes where its a lot quiter than the main tigaki beach, about a 15 min flat cycle. a cab cost 6 euros back from tigaki air con is 5 euros a night and a fan is 2.

Sharna C

hi im going to filli appts in oct with my fella and another couple everything iv read so far sounds good can anyone tell me if theres air con??also what the beaches are like???cant wait to go anybody else going at the begining of oct??

Stuart M

me and my girfriend didnt know what to expect. When we arrived at the apartments they were great, paul the owner and his family were so pleasant and they made our holiday great. The rooms are very basic but very clean. We ate out every night which can be very dear depending on what you eat and where. The food at the apartments is very nice and at a good price. The beer and wine is very cheap at around for a beer is 2.50 euros and a bottle of wine is 6.00euros.
The apartments have 2 mian pools one with a slide and a baby pool. There are loads of sunbeds for everyone.
The evening entertainment can be very queite depending on how lively you are ,just to let you know paul really likes it when everyone is lively and enjoys themselves. The bar is open till the last person finishes there drink we kept him up till 5:30am at some nights.
Try the greak night which is held on wednesdays and cost about 12euros each this is a bit pricey but its a laugh.
I would recommend these apartments to everyone if you like a bit of relaxing not too lively holiday with families and couples.
We are booking to go next year

me and my boyfriend are going in 3 weeks dont know what to expect but the comments seem ok and have not put me off.do they have air condition or do you have to hire fans.wot are the rooms like?do they have a balcony so we can drink and eat at night on it? thanks very much any info would be great

Carolyn B

sorry filitsa studios!

Carolyn B

Hi, going to the Filitsios Apts in july any info would be great !

Tiffany A

Rooms are basic but if you are just looking for a base, it's perfect. There are 2 really nice main pools - one for adults, one for kids, and there's a snack bar right next to them.

If you want somewhere fairly close to the hustle and bustle at night - it's the perfect location - that is if you don't mind walking 45 mins or cycling for about 15. The journey is well worth it though. It's along the beachfront (2 mins walk away from apts) which is well lit.

As it nears July this resort becomes perfect for anyone with kids.

Larry P

First we would like to thank Paul & his family, for making our holiday the best ever. The apartments were great, the service was great and we have no complaints what so ever. We enjoyed its so much we have already booked to go back next year in 2004.

Fay D

me and my boyfriend are going to fili apartments tingaki and we would like to know how they are and has anyone been there lately? also what is tingaki like is it a great place fro a relaxing holiday, what are the beaches like?

Loud music most nights, sometimes till 3am. Lots of drunken shouting and screaming around the pool and bar area. If you want a quiet relaxed holiday, look elsewhere. Several couples were disturbed by the excessive noise during our brief stay but, despite this being pointed out to Paul, nothing was done about it.

Colin K

I agree with the comments by Mr Leighton. Excellent service from Paul and Elena. Marvellous place for families who like a quiet holiday.

Michael L

Have been here six times It is a little way out of Tigaki but that makes it nice and quiet but it apleasnt flat beach road into Tigaki takes 30 45 mins depending how quick you want to walk Apartments are very clean but basic There is two smimming pools the old with diving board not suitable for poor swimmers. The new one is larger and never gets deeper than 5ft great for kids and adults to play ball in loads of sun beds as well THE BEST THING ABOUT THE APARTMENTS IS YOUR HOSTS PAUL AND ELENA NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE BUT BEWARE OF PAUL'S PRAcTICAL JOKES
