My daughter, sister inlaw and my self spent a lovely two weeks at the Angela in August 2007,the weather was fab! As for some of the other comments on this web page YES the cooking facilities are basic but who wants to cook while on holiday when you can go across the road and eat George's (I recommend the beef stifado) and as for cleanliness, the maid comes in every other day to clean, change the beds and towels.(what more more do you want)

Nicky and her family are very kind and friendly they make you feel right at home,so much so I have just returned from another weeks holiday (this time on my own).
I would highly recommend the Angela to anyone whether you are single,a couple or a family you will be made to feel at home!!!!
Thanks again to all at the Angela for a lovely holiday, see you again in 2008

Not long home after 2 weeks at the Angela Aparments, Tingaki.  I was a little worried to say the least after reading all the negative reviews on this site.  However, I have to say most of them are old ones and not from this year.

We found the Angela Apartments to be better than the reviews on here.  My only critisism would be the catering facilities in the room were poorer than in other apartments I have stayed in in Greece.  Not that we really would have spent much time cooking in the apartments anyway.  It is so cheap to eat out and why bother anyway?  You are on holiday after all.  The rooms were a decent size and cleaned regularly.

There was a shortage of sunbeds too as the pool is quite small and we found they were taken up pretty quickly unless you got up early and staked your place with your towel!!!  The beach is not far to walk so we found it just as easy to go there.  Besides which, we found it cooler on the beach with the sea breeze.    Nicky was very helpful to us.  Theo in the pool bar was a star.  Always a smile and warm welcome.  His cocktails (our nightcaps) were very generous and tasty.

I went to tingaki 2 yrs ago and im going back on the 4th aug. Me and my friend are staying at the angela annex i have been reading lots of your reviews and im still just wondering if this particular part of hotel is nice. Do they have balconies? Does anyone know if the nice people everyones talking about  are still running it?

Colleen B          10/10

I have just come back from Kos and stayed at these absoutly brilliant clean appartments. Nikki and Gearge made me feel very welcome.  Theo and Hillary who ran the bar are really lovely funny people we had a right laugh together. rrrrrrrrrrrrrr kavliaris   I am going to try and come back in September As I really enjoyed myself here.  The Full breakfast was the best on the island. Thank you Theo Hillary kikki george and the cleaner for looking after me.  Ill be be back

We have just come back from 2 fantastic weeks at Angela. Nicky George Theo and Hilary were great and made us very welcome. A load of Liverpool fans turned up on their way to the game in Athens and the atmosphere was great. Have read some of the other comments but I disagree with the ones about cleanliness as the maid came in every other day and made the beds and gave us clean towels etc. I would definitely go back there. Barbara and the lovely couple from the midlands (Rita and ?) if you read this keep in touch with Pauline and Jeff from The Wirral xxx!!!

Heather H

I would not advise anybody to go to the Angela apartments. We have just returned from our 3rd year at athe Angela and the standard of cleanliness has fallen due to the maid having to clean all the rooms on her own due to Nicky being too mean to hire someone to help her. We were diapponted in the bar staff as they were not friendly and helpfull. We did not keep our room on for the last night but went somewhere else as it was cheaper. Nicky did not even say goodbye to us when we left. Nicky only speaks to guests who spend money at the bar and pay 35 euros to keep their room on for the last night. It will be our last time at the Angela but not our last time in Tingaki. e have found other accomodation which is far nicer, cleaner and friendly.

Heather H

My husband and I have just returned from Kos. It has been the third time at the Angela apartments and it will certainly be our last. We were very dissapointed to find that the rooms were not as clean as previous years. We found outh reason for this and it was due to the maid having to clean all the aprtments on her own without any help. we felt very sorry for her as she is such a nice person. The staff at the pool bar were very unfriendly and not helpfull. When we asked the girl at the bar about fresh towels, all she could say was it was nothing to do with her as she only attended to the bar. In previous years we have found the staff very friendly and helpfull. On the last evening of our holiday we sat beside the pool bar and the owner, Nicky did not even chat to us or say goodbye. In previous years she appeared friendly, but we have now realised if you don't spend money at the pool bar or pay 35 euros to keep the room on for the last evening she has no time for you. We will be returning to Kos, but certainly not at the Angela apartments.

Heather H

My husband I have just returned from our holiday in Kos. It has been our third time staying at the Angelaapartments and will be our last. The staff at the pool bar were very unfriendly and also unhelpfull when we asked about fresh towels. We were told that they were only there to look after the bar and not guest problems. The staff in previous years were very friendly and helpfull and we spent a lot of time at the pool bar because we had such a laugh with the bar staff. The cleanliness of the rooms have deteriated due to the maid having to clean all the rooms without any help. We felt very sorry for her because she is such a nice person. On the evening when we were due to leave, Nicky, the owner did not even acknowledge us or say goodbye. In previous years Nicky seemed very friendly, but we have now realised that she is only friendly if you are spending money at the pool bar or paying 35 euros to keep the room on for the last evening. We shall be returning to Kos again but certainly not at the Angela apartments.

We have just come from a 2 week holiday at Angelas and we loved it.

Theo and Hilary are great and made us feel really welcome they really made our holiday.

We would come back now given half a chance and would love to come back next year if Theo and Hilary are still there.

Thanks Again

Just spent 2x weeks at the ANGELA Apartments although they were very

basic there was plent room in the studio we had.
The pool barc was very nice and Hilary and Theo made sure everyone had a great time nothing was
a bother to them and their food was great and very reasonable.
The apartments are well situated for getting to the beach and to the restaurants which are all very
nice.
All in all we had a great time and would go back.

Chloe P

Angela Apartments are in the perfect location. Just up the road from the main part of the town (a 5 minute walk away) and just over 5 minutes to walk to the beach. The pool is nice and clean and the bar staff are friendly. The apartments are cleaned regularly and the maid even tidies up the mess you make! My only complaint is the shower head it sprays water everywhere!

If you are visiting Tingaki and don't mind basic self-catering i recommend Angela Apartments as the place to stay!

Hi Jason

Yes Nikki and her family are still at the Angela apartments. Hilary and Theo now have the pool bar and are really lovely. Make you feel very welcome and are very friendly. I hope you have a great time when you go.

We are very jealous, once you have had your holiday, it does not take too long to get back to normal on the home front and your good times are a nice memory.

Looking forward to going again soon.

Rosemary

Rosemary G

We had a fantastic holiday and I would like to express a big THANKYOU to Hilary and Theo. They were fantastic hosts, cooked lovely snack food and always there to lend a helping hand. We had a great time.

I feel it is a shame about the apartments because it really would  not take very much to make them ideal, but - the cleaner is so overworked, it is hard for her to spend any length of time in your apartment, so a quick lick over with a mop in the bathroom and around the sink is your lot. Sheets not changed as frequently as they should be - but again, complain and I am sure you will get what you need.

We really did enjoy our holiday but feel it was very much down to Hilary and Theo always being there, working hard and making you feel very comfortable. Met lovely people and Kayleigh had a great time.

Thank you Hilary and Theo.

Hi, stayed at the Angela Apartments last week and the only complaint is that for self catering their untensils and crockery are sparce. Basic is basic. 2 plates, 2 glasses, 2 mugs, 2 cutlery sets etc. Not sure when the owners where supposed to be around to man the reception area, the rep couldn't tell us either as it appears to have changed from last year but we got by.

The pool bar is fantastic, run by Theo and Hillary. Best snack food you could want at good prices. Theo's cocktails are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble even if you require something at 3 in the morning.
No trouble with noise, pool is great if a little on the small side for sunbathing.  Surrounded by nice restaurants, supermarket next door with really nice greek family running it.  Phone box and bus stop within 50 metres. Will definately go back but armed with picnic set and tea towel.

Dave and paul G

Hi Guys

Well reading some of the comments on here made us think and wewanted to say that we have always had a great time in Kos and at the Angela.
We are now coming in July and we can not wait to speak to nicky and catch up with Elaine and Lorraine at Munchies and by the looks of it we will be ctaching up with Jason and Chandler two guys we met four years ago now and we have kept in touch ever since.
Here is looking to a good holiday this year.
See you all there in july Dave and Paul

Amy C

Thanks both Jet and Jason for your comments. We have found them really helpful.

Yes, you are right, Greece is basic. We have stayed in very basic accommadation before in Tingaki and Kefalonia and all we require is a clean apartment with bed and fridge! Just had a few concerns that people were moving apartments.

Anyway, can't wait to go in June. Plenty of lovely restuarants in Tingaki and great beach.

Jet

Hi  Amy

Well, me and my friend have stayed 3 times so its defo not bad! Infact we loved staying at the Angela - rooms are basic but the good food at the pool bar and friendly staff made up for anything that the rooms were lacking.

I must admit out of the 3 times we stayed, one was in the Angela Annex and I would defo not prefer to stay there again - quite dark rooms and defo in need of some upgrading. Socrates is joined on to the Annex but is owned by the Uncle & Aunt of who owns the Angela. My friend was in one of the rooms in Socrates and said it was better than the Annex but not as good as the Angela Apartments. She said it was very basic but clean. Dont think you get the option of Air Con but not 100% sure.

Please dont worry, you will have a great time. The location, staff and pool area is brill so doesnt matter if rooms are bit basic for all the time you spend in them.

Let me know if anything else you want to know.

We are hoping to go back to in Sept (going to Crete in May) and would defo b looking to book at the Angela.

Hi Amy

Angela apartments, Angela Annexe & Socrates are all the one complex so they are basically all together. Socrates Studios are above the small supermarket next door to the Angela. I have stayed in Angela 3 times but never Socrates but my friend has and she said it was fine for wot she needed.

Angela is situated about 5mins walk from large supermarket heading towards the beach.

Any other info required please ask.

click to enlargehi guys well we are coming back to kos in august this year for our honeymoon!!!

we have stayed at the angela appts for the past three years and we love it.
Nicky and all her staff do a fantastic job there and really make you feel as you are part of the family.
Paul and I have stayed in touch with nicky and she is the best host you could get.
recomend this place to anyone. Normally we go there in june but we decide t go in august for the weather and atmosphere.
Well we hope to see some friendly faces this year whikst on holiday there and lots if party's
Love to all at Angelea

Elaine E

Hi,

Elaine here, yes the one who worked in the Angela last year!!!  Both Lorraine and I are now have a house in Zapari and looking forward to another year, not at the Angela though but somewhere in Kos, will keep you posted to where we end up as it would be nice to see some faces again.

We had a brill first summer with you all and hope to see you this year and future years to come.  Lots of geers tears and tantrums and of course laughs.  We will never forget how good and bad holidaymakers can be (good - you know who you are and bad - I am sure you wont be reading this)   We tried to keep in touch with as many of you as possible.

We both go back to Kos in March as we have been working in Glasgow for a few months to keep the cash coming in.  My e-mail address is elaineewing@msn.com if you would like to keep in touch.

Take care and love you all.

Tara L

We stayed at Angela apartments in August 2005, had great time, love to contact Lorraine and Elaine as they were such a laugh, hope if they are reading this they are having a good and relaxing time this winter.  Best Wishes Tara & Sean xx. p.s the girl who wasnt all that bright at the games and the guy who was the kids hero!!!

Mary M

We have just returned from the Angela Apartments and would like to make a comment regarding one or two things that have previously been said.

Noise:-  The bar is open late; this is because their are many night flights going out from Kos and people like myself, did not get picked up till 3.15 in the morning.  I could have kept my room for another 35 euros but chose instead to stay up and say good bye to Nikkie and Elaine and the other guests who I had just spent two weeks with.  I think it a little unfair to say Nikkie is willing to keep the bar open as long as someone is drinking.  She and the rest of her staff have a genuine wish to ensure everyone who stays at the apartment has a good time. I can appreciate, not everyone like to stay up and drink.....but I don't think you should contribute negative reasons behind Nikkie being hospitable.

The bar is on a main street and their is not a lot of room, but there is a beautiful beach ten minutes down the road and therefore if people felt it was too small they could have taken a walk down the road and had  as much space as they wanted.

The food in the bar was excellent and although I didn't eat there everyday, I did enjoy the food when I did.  As for cost - I did not find the drinks anymore expensive than anywhere else.  I found this odd!

Anyway, to anyone about to go there or thinking of going next year....I wish it was me!!

Have a great holiday, and just to reassure you, I will definitely go back there one day in the future.  These type of apartments can be anything you want them to be.

Jet

3rd visit to Angela in just over a year. This one was the best, due entirely to Lorraine & Elaine - the 2 scottish girls who look after the food and bar. They are fab - Lorraine great cook and really friendly. Elaine does the bar from 5pm onwards - plays great music and such a laugh. Anyone wanting to talk to them will so enjoy the chat.

Stayed in room 30 (above the bar) but was no prob for us as we were in our room at nite after the bar had closed. Room was lovely and kept really clean.

Going back again next year and defo book for the Angela - hope Lorriane & Elaine still be there.

Had fab holiday in Tingaki and so enjoyed our stay @ the Angela!!

Cheers Lorraine, Elaine & Nikki!

Linda

Just returned from our third stay at the Angela and once again had a fab time.  Really didn't want to leave.  Lorraine and Elaine who work behind the bar are nuts - what a laugh we had with them!!  Food was excellent, music was excellent - in fact have to say everything about this place is excellent.  We managed to keep our room on until 11pm which was great - seems to be easier to do this on a Saturday than on a Wednesday for some reason.  Really hope the girls will be there next year cos we'll definately be back.  Would recommend the Angela to everyone.

Michelle H

Hi Caroline you can keep your room till the evenning but it will cost extra. The girls at the Apartments are great. Hope you have a brill time.

Caroline D

I AM STAYING AT THE ANGELA APARTMENTS IN TINGAKI IN AUGUST AND NEED TO KNOW IF WE CAN KEEP OUR ROOM UNTIL LATER IN THE EVENING.

Michelle H

Hi there sam and melissa we are definately coming back again, missing all the crew, been lovely and hot in sunny Leominster but would prefer to be on the beach or by the pool in Tingaki, see u all soon Love michelle and katy xxxx

Melissa N

Hi Denise! And Michelle and Katy! Hope you are all well! Me and Sam are bored in Saffron Walden and missing The Angela Apts!!!!  Still, must save for another trip to the lovely island of Kos! Take care! xxx

Michelle H

- Hi Denise its michelle and katy glad u had a good holiday hope to see u again some time in Tingaki

Denise R

Stayed in Angela Apartments May 05. It was the first time I have been on holiday on my own and I was very apprehensive, Elaine & Lorraine deffinatly made my holiday one of the best I've ever had. If everywhere was as friendly I'd be in big trouble because I'd be going away on my own at every oppertunity.
Great attmosphere around the Bar & Pool area, always plenty of gossip and jokes.  For a single traveller I would highly recommend the Angela Appartments ( no Single Person Suppliment ), Plenty of restaurants and some great jewellry hand  made in the local shop. I will be going back

Ria J

we stayed in the angelas apartment on the 13/07/2004 it was great ,our room did not get cleand every morning because we did not wake up in time! The people in tigaki are lovely.Nicky the lady  who owns the hotel was great to us. We met some great people.we have booked the same time this year 13/07/2005 at the same hotel. iv any body is thinking of going to tigaki book the angelas apartment.

Michelle H

Stopped at Angela Apartments they were great clean and tidy all times. Elaine & Lorraines 1st year there and we were the 1st lot to stay with them. Well what can I say they are great couldnt wish for better people really made our holiday. Highly recommend u stay here. Michelle & Katy xx

Melissa N

My friend and I (both 24 and female) have just come back from 2 weeks in Tingaki and had a BRILLIANT holiday! We stayed at the Angela Hotel (owned by a very friendly Greek lady-Nicky) which was fairly basic but better than some Greek accommodation I have stayed in! We were lucky enough to have a big room (no.37) with a double and a single bed in and still had plenty of space! We also had a TV but only one or two English channels. The girls, Elaine and Lorraine, who work at the 'Angela' were absolutely the best people you could ever meet! They couldn't do enough for you and were always happy and smiling! The rooms were cleaned once or twice a week and bins emptied and new towels changed every other day! For those of you who have a night flight on the way back there is an option to pay more to keep your room, I think it was about 35 euros.

The pool at the Angela hotel was lovely! Yes, they could do with a bit more room around it as I imagine there will be some fights for sunbeds come July! But in May it was more than adequate and the water was lovely and clean (and cold!!). The food around the pool (cooked by Lorraine) is great!! The English breakies are about 4 or 5 euros and really fill you up. They also have lovely burgers, club sarnies, quiches, salads and toasties which are all cooked to perfection! My friend and I often shared lunch as the portions were so large!!!

Due to the time of year Tingaki was very quiet. We knew that this would be the case so went to Kos town for a few boozy nites! Kos town was brilliant! We made friends with lots of bar staff as everyone's just so friendly! It was about 10 euros for 2 drinks but we always got loads of free shots so it was good value!! A taxi from Tingaki to Kos is approximatly  12 euros so if you can get a full taxi it obviously works out cheaper! In a way we wished we had stayed in Kos Town. not because Tingaki wasn't nice, but we had thought we would just want a quiet holiday and once we realsied how good Kos Town was, we wanted to go there every night, but couldn't due to the money situation!

The beach at Tingaki was not as great as I thought it was going to be! But again, I think that may be due to the time of year. Because it has been windy over the winter it seems to have blown a lot of seaweed onto the sand and in the shallow part of the sea---this put me off a bit! Hopefully they will clear it away for peak season! The beach is a short (5-10mins) walk from the Angela :o)

There is a brillaint supermarket just a short walk away from the Angela Apts (turn left and head away from the beach). It's called 'Konstantinos' and is massive! You can get all your food, alcohol, ciggies and perfumes from there! As well as prezzies to take home! It's definatly worth going there to stock up as ot's cheaper than all the other small supermarkets.

While we were in Tingaki we went to Bodrum in Turkey for a day. We booked the trip with Theokritis Travel as reccommended by lots of people. It cost 25 euros and they pick you up and drop you off at your hotel! It's a long day but well worth doing! Especially if you have't been to Turkey before! I've decided I will defo be going back!! We went on the hydrofoil which literally takes 20 mins! If you get a choppy day I imagione there will be a few poorly people  as it travels at some speed!!! We went to the market (open on tuesdays) which is a must see but we soon got fed up and wanted some peace and quiet. We had a lovely pizza in an Italian style restaurant, but it wasn't as cheap as I thought it was! Everyone told us to change up £10 into Turkish Lire and that would do for 2 people to get drinks and food etc! But that didn't last long at all! And we shared the pizza!!!! It doesn't seem woth changing any money to lire as EVERYWHERE seemed to accept euros and a lot of places accepted GBP too!

The Grand Salle restaurant is opposite the Angela hotel and owned by George (Nicky's husband) and is absolutely gorgeous! And very cheap! The pizzas are fantastic! And you can get takeaway too if you fancy taking a pizza to have on your balcony!!  I definatly reccommend going there at least once! While we were in Tingaki we went to Spyros and Meni for meals which were very nice. We were not impressed by the Tingaki Grill though! We were served by girls (most places we were served by very helpful men) and their customer service was very poor. We were not given plates for our bread so we had to cut it on the table! And our food was sereved about 3 minutes after we ordered it which indicates it could have been cooked ages ago waiting for a rush of people. No one asked us if our meal was ok and everything was just slapped on the table! We both had scampi and it was lovely (though some salad would have been nice on the side!) but we were so disappointed that the girls were unfriendly that we decided not to leave a tip and never to go back!

All in all we had a FANTASTIC holiday! The Angela is definatly the best place to stay if you want to feel part of a big family and get lots of good advice and info from Nicky, Elaine and Lorraine. The location is superb--right near all the restaurants, bars, phone box, supermarket etc etc and 5-10mins from the beach!
And Tingaki is a great place--though if you are wanting somewhere lively and boozy Kos Town is the place to be! Happy holidays!!!!

Jet

stayed at the angela apartments in june 04 and the annexe in sept 04. the apartments were the best by far. annexe was clean enough but could do with upgrading. Angela is a great place to stay, pool area small but clean and very friendly.Bar snacks are excellant. Only down side are the showers - floor gets very wet and slippy. Nikki the owner is really helpful and friendly.

Location is excellant - 10mins to beach and 5mins to start of bars & restaurants. Couple of restaurants across the road which are good value for money.

Resort is small and compact but few lively bars - Mascot - really good atmosphere. Not a resort for 18-30 but plenty for all ages.

Best restaurant for value for money is Rodini - across road from Angela.

Any further questions - email me on donjet18@yahoo.co.uk

Lydia B

We stayed in the annex apartments which were very basic but very clean,
there was some noise but after a while you get use to it. the people that run
the Apartments are very nice and frendly and if you need any thing they will
help you out it is well situated and is only 5min from beach

Kayleigh B

Angela apartments are run by a family and own the large restuarant with the fountain in the front opposite the apartments. the people that own the apartments are lovely and i recommend the food in the restaurant too. apartments situated on main road down to the beach so some noise maybe heard. pool is a good size but not much room to sun bath around it. all in all a pleasant accommodation

John K

the angela apartments suited our needs, plenty of places to eat and drink the only let down was the attitude of tracy when asked for breakfast. but this is her last year there nicky is very friendly and helpful. hope to go back next year 2005

Andrew S

Just returned from two weeks in the Angela booking via Olympic Holidays. The room I had at Angela Apartments was more than usually spacious for this type of Greek accommodation and in a good state of repair. Nice touches were satellite TV, aircon (5 Euros per day extra, I didn't need it at the end of August), shower curtain, flyscreen, substantional safety deposit box (20 Euros for two weeks - not as much of a ripoff as other places we have stayed) and electric kettle.

Like others I found buying your own loo rolls a bit cheeky, but at least there was a notice warning you about this (rather than finding out when you reach for the spare that isn't there).

The pool bar, the family-owned taverna opposite and the family-owned supermarket next door were all a bit pricey, but I found both Nikki and Tracey helpful and friendly. The pool itself was not very good - small and water a bit murky, with limited lounger space and right by the main road (there was a screen but this cut out the breeze). I went to the excellent town beach most days.

Generally being on the main road was an advantage. The apartments are mainly at the back and most of the bars and tavernas are close by. The bus stop for Kos Town is 1 minute away and the beach is ten minutes away. (Some of the other Olympic accommodation was well out of town.)

Olympic's excursions were overpriced. Like others I found the excellent English-staffed Theokratis Travel helpful, efficient and much better value.

Helena S

We spent 1 week at the Angela apartments in August, had wonderful weather, the rooms are very basic, too scared to use the electrical products due to the fact that the plugs were hanging off the walls! Rooms were comfortable, just a base to sleep really. The bar at angela was more expensive than the local bars and taverna so it is worth going out down the road and you get better service at a cheaper price and more comfortable chairs. Nikki was fairly friendly, the only down side was, as long as someone is spending money at nikkis bar, doesnt matter what time it is, it will remain open, and they are very noisey, would recomend hiring the aircon in your room, not just to keep you and your faily cool, but also to drown out the noise levels, dont get me wrong im use to noise i live in london but when you are on holiday with your faily you dont need to hear that level of noise till 4am in the morning, on a regular basis, again thank god for the aircon, all in all Tigiki was lovely , beach beaitiful, saltlake picturesqe, got to go to Zia to see the sunset. I would go again to Tigiki.

Angie S

To Gee:re Saturday night accommodation at the Angela. You can stay on till 7pm in your room for 15Euro, or till 11pm for 35Euro. Pay the owner in room 1.We found it well worth it to stay till 11, then you can have a 'proper' last day!Hope you have a good time!

Gee H

If we stayed here could we have the room for the last Saturday of our stay, please, as the flight is not till 5am on the Sunday. Please let me know how much to have the room for the extra time.

Many thanks

Stayed at the Angela Apartments from 17-7-04 until 01-08-04. Very nice apartments, pool was nice too and the staff at the snack bar were very friendly.

Just come back after 2 weeks at the Angela 08/04. We had a great holiday and will come back to Kos. Tingaki was the best resort for us- not too mad, more than enough bars and tavernas, and a lovely long beach. The Angela's location was just right - set back from the road, a little way out from the centre. Cleanliness was reasonable, but they only supplied 1 loo roll (between 2 for 2 weeks!!!!) so you have to buy some! There's a big supermarket just up the road. It was fairly quiet, except when new guests arrive at dawn, shouting and dragging their cases up the steps. It all echoes and everyone has their windows open, so if you are going....please have a bit of consideration when you arrive!

Stayed at these apartments for one week from 28th July to 4th August. Have to agree that Nikki was most helpful and friendly. However, the apartment was only cleaned twice that week and not very thoroughly at that. I have been to the Greek Islands 3 time before so it was a bit of a shock to have to supply your own toilet paper - never had that before. Also Tracey the Canadian lady who works behind the bar was a bit unfriendly and it put my friend and I off so we spent most of our time in the local bars where the friendliness of the staff can't be faulted.

Had the most fantastic holiday in the Angela Apts. Usually a beach person but the atmosphere around the pool area was too much to resist. Everyone is very friendly, especially Nikki who is really lovely and very helpful. We found the food at the pool bar was excellent - english breakfasts every morning and you have to try their club sandwiches (to die for). Have read reports about the apts being very basic but have to disagree. Couldn't find one fault with the Angela and am definitely returning for a week in September. If you're reading this Nikki, Donna and I had a fantastic time and can't thank you enough as you added to one of the best holidays we have ever had. See you September - make sure you've got plenty red vodka!!!

Just got back from 2 weeks at the Angela. What a fantastic place to stay. 10 mins from the beach and Nikki is the "hostest with the mostest". Her milk shakes are the best on the island! The apartments were clean and we were lucky enough to have the option of air con as well. The pool is inviting but cold so be warned. Am planning to go back next year - we had that much of a good time.

Just got back after a two week stay at Angela appartments. Nice enough appartments. The rooms were very clean and typically greek...one hob and missing cuttlery, but fine if u intend eating out every night. Avoid room no 1 if you want a good nights sleep...its right above the bar which has no closing time!!!! We were kept awake until 3 and 5am most nights. Other than the lack of sleep everything else was brilliant. It is in an ideal location, close to the beach and restaurants. Would recommend that you take a driving licence so that you can hire a quad bike to look round the island!

Stayed in Angela Apts from 16th June 2004 for 1 week. Could not rate these Apartments and the owner Nikki highly enough. Had a superb holiday. The pool area was small but really good atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. The apartments had really good location - about 10mins walk from beach. The breakfast and snacks served at Angela were great - we had breakfast and lunch everday for a week!Anyone booked for Angela Apartments will have a great time. Defo would return - 2morrow!!! Tingaki and Angela together make great recipe for fantastic holiday with something to suit everyone.

We have just returned from a week at the Angela Apartments. We found the apartments to be more than adequate for a 1 or 2 week holiday although the standard was a little below what we have had before in Greece.

These apartments are in the ideal location, however can be a little noisy at night if guests are drinking at the bar!

Overall the apartments are ideal if you want something close to the bars and restaurants but not too close....

We have just returned home from what I can only say was the worst accomodation I have ever stayed in. I have visited quite a few Greek Islands and know the meaning of "Basic". The first room we were put in had Fungus/Damp growing on the Bathroom wall, and the toilet was leaking so much water, we could've use this as the swimming pool. We moved rooms only to discover that the floor and drawers were covered in long black hair and about an inch of dirt and dust. Considering I'm blonde, one friend ginger and one grey, I don't think they came from us. There was also crisp crumbs under one of the beds. When we ask that the room be cleaned the owners were very offended and rude to us, and the room never got cleaned throughout our whole stay. We eventually found a broom outside the apartment and cleaned the room. The kettle didn't work and we only had one knife and fork between 3 of us, even these were black and disgusting. The mattresses and pillows were covered in brown stain marks, we couldn't use them. Would definately not recommend this place to anyone. The swimming pool was a bit of a worry, if you sat to close to the end of the beds you would have ended up in the pool!

Have just got back from a week's stay. The apartment was fine - very basic but adequate. Was not too impressed by the size of the pool when we first got there, but it was actually more than adequate.

It is situated right on the main road of the resort which could be quite noisy but it was ok apart from the cockerel who was convinced it was morning even at 4am!

Everyone seemed really friendly - no problems at all. We took loo roll with us as we had seen that you only get your first roll and the loo roll in greece is much to be desired.

Would definitely recommend this place.

We recently returned from two weeks in the Angela Socrates Annexe and I have to say I was very impressed!!
Bill and Maria who run the apartments and the supermarket underneath were very welcoming and very helpful, particularly when my husband unfortunately managed to injure his back!! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they even arranged a masseure!!
The apartments are in the perfect location - just far enough away to be peaceful but within a 5 minute walk of the resort centre and only a couple of minutes more to the beach. The rooms are large and kept clean by Bill and although facilities are basic (a fridge and two cooking rings) who wants to cook on holiday anyway!!
We would definately return!

We have just got back after staying in the Angela for two weeks. Niki the owner is a great lady who is always friendly, I would well recomend going to her BBQ if they have it while your their as you get loads of food plus as much wine as you want till 12 for 15 euros.
Take your own toilet roll as they only supply the first roll plus the sink and hot plate you get is very basic, and they dont supply any cleaning pads or a dishcloth.
The room was cleaned each day but they have a card in the wall for turning on the power which the cleaner pulls out slightly to save power so after a day on the beach the room is hot as the air conditioning is off so have a word with niki and she will stop doing it. A supermarket 100 meters up the road is expensive their is one on the road to kos town which is half the price.
Dont book the trips with the rep as a travel ageny on the other side of the road and 250 meters towards the beach is nearly half the price, its called Theorakis Travel and is English owned ask for rich or sharron.

We visited the Angela Apartments at the beginning of June we found the rooms to be a good size and very clean. Rooms generally were cleaned each day.Niki, who ran or owned the hotel is an excellent hostess who makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. All round an excellent place to stay

I would just like to say when i went to the Angela apartments i experienced one hell of an amazing holiday!!!
The owners are unbelievably friendly and were very welcoming.
The people when we were there were out of this world i could not have of asked for a nicer bunch of people to spend my holiday with!
My family and i have made some new friends forever. The apartment is situated a five minutes walk away from the beach and a fifteen minute drive to the bustling city of kos town.
The place is ideal for families and the hard party goers! if u want peace and quite then the apertments are ideal, but if ur after the party lifestyle u only have to walk down the road to find some absoloutley great night life.

This is a reponse to the question below. I never saw any birds for the whole of the two weeks I was there.

we went to tingaki on the 11th of june 03 and stayed at the angela appartments we found it to be set in an ideal location and the staff nikki and george made us feel very welcome we had a two bedroomed appartment witch was kept clean (by the cleaners not areselves)and every morning we had fresh fruit left on are table by bill from the suppermarket next door witch we where not charged for nikki gave my brother a job and even went looking for an appartment for him on her day off she found him one in the next village along and even offered him her bike to get to work on. the staff are so freindly especially nikki and george and the appartments are a 2 and a half minute walk from the second best beach in kos i would advise anyone with small children or just couples looking for a good time look no further than the angela appartments you will be made welcome and i garrentee you will enjoy your stay if you have any questions please feel free to e mail me billy bentick

We stayed in the Annex part of the complex. Generally they were fine for the price you pay. They are set on the main road so in terms of location it is perfect. The only problem is that the road is busy and I found it hard to sleep in the morning. Other problems where that they had not been cleaned when we had arrived, and when they do clean them they don't really do a proper job. We had to do it our selves every few days so that the mess did not build up. They also don;y supply toilet role which was a supprise to us. We never cook when we go away anyway but it you do plan to use the studio for this purpose, think again as the facilities supplied would cook you only a greek salad (if your lucky)!!! I do want to state however again that they are fine for the price you pay. Finally just a note to say that if you want to keep your room on a bit longer on the last night you may want to consider getting a hotel a little way down the main road as it is cheaper. They charged us 30 euro's to keep our room on until 10pm while another couple were only charged 15 euros for a double room for the whole night.

We have just returned from a week in the Annexe. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which, although very basic did offer everthing that we needed. My only grumble would be that the pillows were a little hard. The room was cleaned every other day by Vasillius who also owns the supermarket next to the appartments. The rooms overlook a courtyard and the only noise that woke us was the cockerel that wanted to announce morning. All rooms either a balcony or terrace.

Nikki S

Can anyone tell me whether the Angela Annex apartments have balconies please?

Brian T

angela apts and annex were great nikki and staff brilliant they make everyone welcome and get people mixing and always great atmosphere

Richard W

Hope someone can help. I need to know if the Angela Apartments in Tingaki have balconies. Has anyone also stayed in the Annex part of the Angela Apartments, if so what are they like?

Beth W

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Angela Apartments in June last year and liked it so much we are returning in June this year (Can't wait).
Tingaki is lovely and George and Nikki(and Addy)at the Angela Apartments were fantastic. We are a young couple and they did not seem to have a problem with us. They were very friendly and helpful and really lovely people. The apartments we found to be lovely and were kept clean and tidy. All in all it was one of the best holidays we have had hence why we are returning this year. I would certainly reccomend it to anybody.

Heulwen and ste F

The apartments are ok but very white! They are clean when you get there but soon become messy - only saw the maid once when she emptied the bin and mopped the floor! The owners seem to have an attitude problem towards young couples (18-25). The Pool was very merky. We are returning to tingaki but not to the Angela apartments.

Angela M

has anyone stayed at or seen the angela apartments in Tingaki.

thinking of going sep 2003.

are they too close to the centre, busy/noisy ?

any information would be great. thanx.
